Job summary

Statrys, a fintech with European reach, seeks a senior Head of Risk & Internal Control to oversee risk management, internal controls, and fraud risk for France and Europe. You will provide independent oversight, challenge to management, and strategic guidance while hands-on executing controls and drafting documentation.

You will engage with the Management Committee, Supervisory Board, and external regulators, ensuring ACPR compliance and effective risk monitoring across regions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Law, Business or Finance with a banking/compliance focus.
• 7+ years in risk management, internal control or internal audit within a regulated financial institution.
• Deep practical knowledge of French and European banking or payment legislation and ACPR expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously enhance risk management including fraud risk and internal control systems.
• Own second-level controls and test effectiveness of first-level controls.
• Participate in local Risk and Management Committees and report risk findings.
• Collaborate with Group Fraud Risk Director to strengthen fraud prevention and root-cause analysis.
• Advise business, IT and operations on control responsibilities and gap remediation.
• Work with MLRO for regulatory risk reporting and interface with regulators and auditors.
