Job summary

HelloFresh is seeking a Senior Director of Health & Safety Operations Europe to drive safety excellence across European operations. Reporting to the SVP, Global Engineering and Infrastructure, you will develop and implement robust H&S strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a world-class safety culture across multiple sites in Europe.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of safety management experience.
• At least 5 years in a high-impact leadership role.
• Subject matter expert in European safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience in FMCG, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Fulfillment.
• Proven track record implementing scalable safety strategies across international geographies.
• Analytical mindset translating safety data into strategic business decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Strong leadership presence with focus on empowering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the European H&S strategy aligned with broader business objectives.
• Cultivate a Zero Incident culture by architecting risk-reduction programs across all operations.
• Safeguard the business by ensuring rigorous compliance with local and international safety regulations and certifications.
• Standardize safety processes across diverse sites using the proprietary safety framework.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Site Operations leadership to integrate safety into production practices.
• Leverage data to track KPIs and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Lead high-stakes incident investigations with root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Act as the primary representative for safety with regulators and external stakeholders across Europe.
• Orchestrate internal and external safety audits to maintain best-practice standards.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of safety experts.
