Europe Business Lead - Biologics CDMO - Remote

150k USD p.a. (of which 30-40k is the variable part - linked to performances)

Our Client is a global brand Asian based manufacturer, publicly listed ofBiologics CDMO who wants to hire an European leadto drive theirstrategic growth initiatives

Will report to the Head – Global CDMO Business and an EU office is based in Spain. However, the candidates are open to apply from every country in Europe and the role will be mostly remote, f ull-time , a strategic & commercial leadership role

Role Purpose:

To lead business development and strategic client engagement for their Biologics’ CDMO services across Europe. The role demands strong B2B experience, a deep network among innovator biotech and pharma companies, and the ability to position Shilpa as a preferred partner for biologics development and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & B2B Engagement

  • Identify and secure new CDMO opportunities with innovator companies, mid-sized biotechs, and large pharma in Europe.
  • Lead B2B client engagements, presenting tailored manufacturing solutions in early-phase, late-phase, and commercial biologics programs.
  • Build and nurture long-term strategic partnerships with decision-makers in R&D, manufacturing, and procurement.
  • Develop a territory-specific business strategy focused on innovator molecules, biosimilars, and high-potential biologics segments.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and market dynamics to position Company’s CDMO capabilities effectively.

Client Relationship & Project Conversion

  • Serve as the primary interface between the Co and European clients through the lifecycle—from lead generation to proposal to contract finalization.
  • Translate client requirements into actionable proposals by coordinating with technical, quality, regulatory, and legal teams in India.

Proposal Development & Contracting

  • Lead RFP/RFI responses and technical bid defense meetings.
  • Manage pricing negotiations and contract finalization (CDAs, MSAs, Work Orders).

Cross-functional Leadership

  • Act as a bridge between European clients and India-based project teams (MSAT, QA/QC, Regulatory, Manufacturing).
  • Ensure seamless onboarding, tech transfer, and execution of CDMO projects.

Key Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related disciplines.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification in business/marketing (preferred).

Experience:

  • 10–15 years in CDMO/biopharma business development with a focus on biologics.
  • Proven B2B experience in acquiring and managing accounts with innovator biotech/pharma clients.
  • Solid understanding of biologics development (cell line development, upstream/downstream process, DP fill-finish).
  • Demonstrated success in closing CDMO contracts in Europe this is MUST HAVE !

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across geographies and functions.
