Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Director of Sustainability Europe to lead ESG disclosure across Europe and ensure alignment with global priorities. The role requires strategic oversight of sustainability initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and engagement with executives, customers, and regulators.

The position is based in France or Italy with responsibilities spanning regulatory support, strategy execution, and market engagement to drive sustainable growth within the Transit business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, Public Policy, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, or related disciplines.
• Experience implementing sustainability programs in multinational industrial, manufacturing, or transportation sectors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ESG disclosure, CSRD/ESRS/EU Taxonomy, and ISSB-aligned reporting.
• Lead sustainability strategy across Transit and Europe, integrate objectives into programs.
• Engage with customers, suppliers, and regulators on sustainability inquiries and assessments.
• Influence senior leaders, communicate complex topics, and support business growth.
