IDEMIA Secure Transactions (IST) in France is seeking an EU Regional Engineering support professional to build and support investment cases, perform equipment qualification, and coordinate transfers across sites and suppliers. The role requires hands-on engineering expertise and strong problem-solving abilities.

You will travel up to 30% to IDEMIA Service Centers and partners, contribute to product industrialization, create technical documentation, and ensure tests meet cost, quality and time

Qualifications

• Experience in industry with automated fast throughput processes.
• Experience with project management methods.
• Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines, systems and processes (mechanics, electronics, PLC, automation).
• 5–10 years experience in related field.

Responsabilités

• Build and support investment cases by carrying out technical, economic and capacity studies.
• Coordinate equipment transfer projects between sites and suppliers; plan tests within cost/quality/time constraints.
• Visit equipment suppliers and perform tests to assess capabilities and potential new equipment (benchmark).
• Write technical documentation (work instructions, control plans, process settings, troubleshooting).
• Monitor start of production of installed equipment and collect KPIs; propose improvements.

Key Missions

The EU Regional Engineering support will:

• Build and support investment cases by carrying out technical, economic and capacity studies. Present these investment cases to the management
• Carry out the acceptance or equipment qualification phases at the supplier and Idemia sites by anticipating and implementing the necessary tests and measurements within the constraints of costs, quality and time
• Coordinate equipment transfer projects between sites and / or suppliers by considering planning constraints
• Visit equipment suppliers and carry out the necessary tests to assess the capabilities and capabilities of potential new equipment (benchmark)
• Write technical documentations (work instruction, control plan, manufacturing process settings, troubleshooting...)
• Monitor the start of production of installed equipment to collect Key Productions Indicators
• Collect operational data and user recommendations about installed equipment to define and propose improvement solutions. Challenge users and management for the implementation of those proposed solutions
• Support new product Industrialization by organizing or leading some defined tests and DOE
• Support New product deployment using guidelines and track pilot KPI
• Support the Lv3 Laser Expert by being trained Lv2 Laser Expert
• In the framework of tenders, propose optimized solutions in terms of equipment and associated services based on the experience, technical specifications, potential requests for quotation to suppliers and potential feasibility tests

Profile & Other Information

Experience

• Experience in industry, workshop with automatized fast throughput process is amust
• Experience with project management methods is a must
• Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines, systems and processes (mechanics, electronics, PLC, automation)
• Very strong hands on aptitude
• Experience with equipment qualification would be a significant plus
• 5 – 10 years

Education/professional

Qualifications required

• Fluent English level is a must
• German would be a plus
• Office (IT)
• Knowledge in laser engraving technologies would be a plus
• Plastic / printing knowledge would be a plus

• Aptitude for diagnosing and solving problems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills especially with technical information

• Fast pace to cope with specific Smart card industry hourly demand

Other information

• The role could require international travel across Idemia Service Centers network and partners as well as at suppliers. Estimated travel time 30%
