Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer - Electrical Power Generation, Conversion & Distribution (m/f) to join our Design Office in Marignane, France.

Are you skilled in Electrics, Electronics, Power Conversion, or Electrical Networks? Do you have a passion for Aeronautics? Are you interested in the development, industrialization, maintenance, and in-service support of Electrical Systems?

Join the Electrical Power & Lighting Systems department as the System Design Responsible at Airbus Helicopters, Marignane.

The department comprises approximately 40 engineers across Marignane and Donauwoerth, focusing on developing electrical generation, conversion, and distribution solutions for various helicopter fleets, including legacy and new models.

The System Design Responsible will develop systems from conception to qualification, addressing stakeholder needs. Responsibilities include designing electrical systems in collaboration with other departments, managing supplier relationships from specification to qualification, and working closely with assembly lines and customer support.

Key activities & responsibilities:

  • Identify development lifecycle activities to meet regulation and program requirements.
  • Define subsystem architecture and interfaces.
  • Specify subsystem requirements and allocate to components and other subsystems.
  • Manage external work packages from selection to delivery.
  • Validate and verify subsystem requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership across disciplines throughout the subsystem lifecycle.

Your profile:

  • Strong background in electrical systems (batteries, electrical grids, generation machines, power conversion devices).
  • Systems engineering skills (requirements management, needs capture, validation & verification).
  • Supplier management skills.
  • Experience in aeronautics is a plus.

This position may require security clearance.
