The department Installation Mechanical Equipment and Fuel System is part of the Design and Integration organization within the design office. The team is responsible for the development of parts and assemblies for the installation of Outboard Equipment and the Fuel System. It supports the complete Airbus Helicopters product range, including commercial and governmental helicopters, as well as research demonstrators, throughout the complete helicopter life cycle (design, prototype and serial production, in-service support). The outboard equipment installation covers a wide scope of helicopter missions, including public transport, public services, emergency medical services, police, parapublic missions, Search and Rescue, military, and VIP.

The department is transnationally organized, with team members in Marignane and Donauwörth. Team members collaborate in modern agile project teams alongside members of Airframe Design, Vehicle Systems, Electrical System, and Stress departments, among others. The team also works with multiple subcontractors and international Airbus subsidiaries.

We are seeking a Mechanical System Installation Detailed Designer for our team based in Marignane.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and verification of Mechanical System Installations on simple assemblies.
  2. Check 2D drawings.
  3. Manage design data using tools like SAP, Windchill, VPM.
  4. Prepare documentation for certification and qualification.
  5. Plan development projects and design changes, including change analysis and requirement identification.
  6. Define subcontracting work packages and oversee subcontractor activities.
  7. Support manufacturing, including Non-Conformity Management and industrialization support.
  8. Assist technical customer support, including repair definitions (RDAS).
  9. Participate in Continuing Airworthiness processes and Major Incident investigations.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience with part design and product data management, preferably with CATIA, SAP, Windchill.
  • Experience with Design Change processes (ECR/ECP, BNAe, ATA100).
  • Behavioral traits: teamwork in an agile environment, challenge acceptance, responsibility-taking, continuous improvement contribution.
  • Language skills: French mandatory, English required.
  • Security clearance eligibility or requirement.
