About the roleDNV, the independent expert in assurance and risk management, is seeking an
ESG/HSE Consultant within our Supply Chain and Product Assurance (SCPA) French unit.
Do you want to give operational meaning to your skills in sustainability and occupational health and safety and move on to a consultant discipline?The SCPA team helps clients integrate Sustainability and Health & Safety culture into their core business strategy; enterprise risk management; operations and supply chains, acting as a trusted third party delivering a full suite of risk management and advisory services.
As a ESG/HSE Consultant, you will help our clients increase their safety and environmental performance, ensure sustainable development and improve their financial performance. You will perform social audits, HSE audits, risk assessment, safe job analysis projects, incidents management, and train client personnel.
You will get the opportunity to work on projects across a number of domains, and expertise is required in at least two (ideally more) of the following: risk analysis, social audit, occupational Health and Safety training, diagnosis, process safety management, definition and implementation of action plans aimed at establishing a health and safety culture based on best practices, sustainability strategy.
The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise and advanced risk assessments with management consulting skills, and pull on a cross-disciplinary team of highly qualified engineers and regulatory experts to deliver value-adding services to our clients.
The role requires a considerable focus and track record spent in the field onsite at production and administrative locations, and followingly readiness to travel.
Our team :Reporting to Head of section of the French unit, you will be based in France and you will be delivering mainly in France and Western Europe. You will get the chance to work in an international environment, for very diverse projects and clients, as we shape and accompany our clients’ global programs.
As a member of our dedicated ESG/HSE team, you will work with customers struggling with the ESG/HSE challenges. You will be a trusted advisor, helping them make critical strategic decisions in an equitable, transparent, and profitable manner.

Key accountabilities:You will be expected to work across our range of Health & Safety Risks management services, which include: Contributing to the broader sales and delivery efforts across all services: occupational Health and safety audits, organizational and technical diagnosis, training, definition and support of our clients for the implementation of action plans.
You will be expected to play a key role in delivery, including:
- Contributing to the broader sales and delivery efforts for EHS and ESG services;
- Delivery to revenue targets;
- Supporting project teams to deliver to clients’ expectations, goals and target outcomes, on time, on budget and to DNV quality standards;
- Contributing to communication with selected clients;
- Working with existing and potential clients to help establish their individual needs, identifying and recommending appropriate solutions tapping into DNV capability across the wider group;
Location :We offer an option to be based in Paris or Lyon office with flexible working.

- Good understanding of, and experience from, operational EHS issues in the process industry, chemical or pharmaceutical industry, construction/ civil engineering
- 5-10 years' experience in similar roles in consulting companies
- Proven track record of delivery in the domains of sustainability consultancy, especially the social / human right part. A qualification to deliver social audit (SEDEX, RBA) is higly desirable
- You have knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including contract standards in France and European regulation (ATEX, Reach, Seveso, etc)
- An experienced trainer and able to facilitate workshops/processes with EHS resources and management teams
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken). Any additional language would be added value
- Good communication and writing skills
- Knowledge of ISO standards (14001, 45001) or equivalent
- Auditor and project management experience is essential
- Willingness to travel and work on-site at client's office
- University degree (Master degree or equivalent)
