Intermountain Health in Denver, CO, seeks a full-time EMT/Paramedic to deliver essential life support in the Emergency Department during night shifts. Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection, catheterization, EKGs, patient movement, and discharge support under RN supervision.
Required: current EMT or Paramedic license, BLS-HCP, and IV certification at hire. Night shifts with weekend/holiday exposure and shift differentials apply.
Qualifications
- Current EMT or Paramedic license in state of practice (Colorado preferred).
- BLS-HCP certification required upon hire.
- IV certification required upon hire; for paramedics, IV certification included in licensure.
Responsabilités
- Obtain vital signs and inform RN/Physician of changes.
- Collect samples for lab analysis.
- Instruments and patient devices setup and assistance.
- Perform 12-lead EKGs and assist during procedures.
- Assist with patient movement and safe handling.
- Assist with admission, transfers, and discharge instructions under RN guidance.
- Maintain patient charts and respond to calls as unit secretary.
