Job summary

IRD is seeking a postdoctoral Researcher in Epidemiology to assess health system strengthening under the Ezaka Ho Tomady programme. You will analyse population health surveys, perform quantitative evaluations, and translate findings into actionable policy insights for UNICEF and the Ministry of Public Health.

Implementation involves developing reproducible analyses in R, collaborating with IRD, CNRS and partners, and occasionally training Master’s students.

Qualifications

• PhD in epidemiology or related quantitative field is required.
• Strong skills in epidemiology, biostatistics and data analysis.
• Experience with quasi-experimental methods and complex survey data.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative evaluation of health interventions and surveys.
• Analyse DHS/MICS-like data, DHIS2 data quality and trends.
• Develop reproducible analyses in R and prepare scientific outputs.
• Collaborate with partners including UNICEF and Ministry of Public Health.
• Supervise and train junior researchers and students as needed.
