MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
The Technical Support Assistant reports to the EPCI Manager and provides technical support within the EPCI Team.
The job holder is responsible for undertaking delivery of reporting / technical / project management / discrete interface type tasks and work activities as allocated by the EPCI Manager. Tasks and work activities will be in general support of the ongoing activities and priorities of the EPCI Team, certain task and activities have already identified however others will be allocated as required depending on workload and priorities. In this respect the job holder shall need to have experience across technical and project management subjects to ensure that support can be brought to those elements of the EPCI Team where needed.
The Technical Support Assistant is normally resident in the offices of the consortium in Paris (France) and may be required to travel on mission to other project locations including Houston (US), fabrication yard (Egypt) and work site (Mozambique) as requirements dictate.
ACTIVITIES
Undertake discrete ad-hoc tasks and work activities in support of the EPCI Manager and the EPCI Team.
• Development and implementation of action tracking process and register for the EPCI scope including coordination and follow-up as actionsbecome due.
• Coordination, checking and oversight of updates to EPCI scope organization charts and manning plans (inc. IT and services requirements).
• Coordination and capture of the Company close out report inputs (in advance of key individuals being demobilized).
• Assist with coordination and tracking of EPCI team personnel movements between project locations.
• Coordination and capture of lessons learned for the EPCI scope (in advance of key individuals being demobilized) and including leadership oflessons learned capture sessions and cascade of lessons learned from other Total Projects.
• Coordination, capture and development of risks, threats and opportunities for the EPCI scope.
• Preparation and review of presentations, reports, progress reporting and other project deliverables consistent with technical expertise.
• Review and approval of contractor documentation, procedures and other deliverables consistent with technical expertise.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
• US $20 Billion investment, 17,000-acre LNG facility site that includes private airstrip, marine facilities, and 18 subsea wells - 5-year constructionperiod, delivered utilizing a staff of 1500+ employees and contractors based in Houston, Milan, Paris, Singapore and Mozambique
• 12.88 MTPA from 2 Initial Trains - 25-year production period
• Mozambique LNG is a subsea (1,400m) to shore dry gas field development located in the norther part of Mozambique
The subsea field will be developed via 18 subsea wells, 7-production manifolds, 1-MEG manifold, 3 x 22in trunk lines, a 6in and 8in MEG lines, 18 x 10in in-field flowlines, 2 x 4in in-field MEG lines, associated ILTs and PLETs for all pipelines and flowlines, 25 control modules, 4 onshore umbilical’s, 2 main tie-back umbilical’s, 5 in-field umbilical’s, 12 UTA assemblies, 189 electro hydraulic flying leads, 48 x 10” flexible jumpers, rigid jumpers and spools.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Timely delivery of all tasks and work scopes allocated.
• Conduct of all activities with due consideration of project HSE requirements and a pro-active adoption of the Project HSE culture.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Min. 5 years’ experience in support of large scale EPCI contracts with offshore pipeline / SURF work scopes, proven track record of leadership, able to define tasks / activities required to achieve objectives and to deliver to schedule. Minimum of 10 years relevant track record in general engineering and technical based activities.
• Fluency in the English language and capable to represent the project in front of all stakeholders in a professional and organized manner.
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent is required with sciences or engineering specialism preferred.
