Overview

The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all types of floor surfaces, wall, and upholstered furniture. This position may be required to perform all the tasks of Housekeeper, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all types of floor surfaces, walls, and upholstered furniture.
• Perform tasks of Housekeeper as needed and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills necessary to evaluate and resolve housekeeping issues.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control standards; cleaning equipment use; proper care procedures for various types of floors, carpets, fabrics and wall coverings.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy and bulky objects.
• Ability to work rapidly and correctly on tasks requiring physical strength and stamina.
• Ability to operate various types of floor care equipment.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: One to two years experience.
• Certifications: Gloss Tek certification.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis; prolonged standing and walking during each shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
