Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Environmental Service Technicians/Housekeepers to support operations at the Delaware VA Hospital located at 1601 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19805. Responsibilities
  • Outpatient Rooms: High dust, wipe walls and all furniture in rooms. Clean any debris or paint left by building contractors. Floors will be mopped with germicidal solution (methods and germicidal solutions prescribed by the COR). Carpeted floors will be vacuumed. All horizontal surfaces kept free of dust and debris. Change out cubical curtains when needed. (Carpets will be shampooed as needed).
  • Maintain Floors: All floors, except carpeted areas, shall be swept, dust mopped, damp mopped, wet mopped, dry buffed, and spray buffed to ensure a uniform, glossy appearance and free of dirt, debris, dust, scuff and heel marks, stains, and other foreign matter. Baseboards, corners, and wall/floor edges shall be clean. Moveable items removed to clean underneath and returned to their original position.
  • Break room: All have VCT flooring and shall be dust mopped, wet mopped and refinished. Counters, sinks, shelving cleaned with VA approved germicidal. Tables, chairs, and furnishings wiped down with VA approved germicidal; area free of dust, lint, fingerprints, and stains. Ready for inspection.
  • Common Areas: Waiting areas, chairs, tables, windowsills, stairwells, and corridors swept, mopped, and wiped with VA approved germicidal frequently throughout the day. Entrance mats clean as required to maintain quality standards.
  • Remove Trash: All trash removed daily. Receptacles cleaned and emptied to outside trash containers. Red bags or RMW (Chemo) to be taken to the loading dock in RMW room.
  • Clean and Disinfect: Clean and disinfect with EPA approved hospital grade germicidal detergent; polish and dry surfaces of sinks, water fountains, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Clean Interior Glass/Mirrors: Clean interior glass (doors, partitions, walls, display cases, directory boards, fire extinguisher case, check-in windows, Pharmacy windows, Nurses Station, and frames). No film, dirt, streaks, smudges, or water traces after cleaning.
  • Vacuum Carpets and Clean Carpets: Vacuum carpeted areas; remove spots per carpet manufacturer’s methods; report tears or raveling. All carpets cleaned to standard practices; ensure uniform appearance and removal of residues.
  • Vacuum and Clean Floor Mats: Vacuum and clean interior and exterior mats; remove soil and moisture beneath mats; return to normal location.
  • General Spot Cleaning: Regular spot cleaning of walls, partitions, vents, doors, switches, and fixtures to maintain a clean, uniform appearance.
  • General Dusting: Dust all horizontal surfaces and wipe with VA approved germicidal.
  • Change out Cubical Curtains when needed or soiled.
  • Clean and Disinfect: Disinfect all surfaces of sinks, toilets, urinals, lavatories, showers, dispensers, doors, walls, partitions, and related areas with EPA approved hospital grade germicidal detergent.
  • Descale Toilet Bowls: Descale weekly as a minimum and as needed to keep areas free of scale and related deposits.
  • Sweep and Mop Floor: After sweeping, mopping, ensure floors are free of litter, dirt, and debris; ensure uniform appearance with no residue or standing water.
  • Moveable items: Tilt or move items to sweep and damp mop underneath, then return to original positions.
  • Floor finishing: Stripping, waxing, buffing as necessary; apply non-slip floor finish and ensure removal of excess finish. Wet strip and semi-annual refinishing as needed.
  • Turn back rugs: Strip wax, finish, and buff as part of floor maintenance; coordinate with on-site POC for disruption-free scheduling.
  • Cleaning routines in isolation rooms: Include disinfecting floors with microfiber systems; avoid mopping wood or carpeted floors; use string mops only for large spills with double bucket method.

  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
