Woodard & Curran is looking for a motivated, bright, and talented Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist with two to five years of experience to join our team in the Greater Boston Area. We are seeking a motivated self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to support environmental investigation, remediation, and hazardous building materials projects for a diverse range of clients.
A staff-level Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist is typically assigned specific tasks on project teams and is expected to use their knowledge to resolve the problems and tasks they are assigned under the mentorship of Project Managers and senior level staff.
Position responsibilities will include supporting the evaluation of suspect hazardous building materials associated with building renovations and demolition projects, conducting site characterization activities, remediation system design, operation, maintenance, and monitoring, data management/tracking and reporting. Field work, data management, report writing, and interaction with project staff will play an important role in the candidate's success.
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a desire to perform onsite field work and possess strong technical and writing skills to support a wide range of science and engineering projects located across the firm's geography and core markets. A successful candidate will also be detail oriented, have excellent verbal communication skills combined with a positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and across multi-disciplined project teams.
$60,000 - $95,000 a year Group A (Andover, MA) = $60,000 - $90,000 Group B (Canton, MA) = $65,000 - $95,000
The anticipated compensation range for this position is based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, skills, and primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on these factors and adjusted, where applicable, by a geographic differential. Geographic differentials are percentage-based adjustments that reflect variations in labor market costs across locations. As a result, the compensation range for this position may vary depending on where the successful candidate is located and performs their work.
