Job Description

Environmental Data Analyst | Data Analysis Support [DOEOP026031] – DPLH Est.: 665.6 Hrs. ST | 0 Hrs. OT on a Exempt 1099 Contract: No Overtime Pay; Contract Contingent Basis; Mid Atlantic region. This role supports a branch of DOE that leverages science and technology to address energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges, advancing climate and energy policies through strategic studies and policy analysis supporting analytical capabilities.

Location: CONUS – Washington DC across the Mid Atlantic Region. This engagement supports a professional services contract for Energy, Science, and Technology Research Sector Clients such as DOEOP. This may be on a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099). ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time employed W-2 position.

Responsibilities and Duties

As an Environmental Data Analyst | Data Analysis Support, you will:

  • Evaluate environmental impacts of energy projects and contribute to sustainability policy insights.
  • Analyze environmental impact data related to energy technologies and policies to inform decision-making.
  • Provide public comment review, data analysis, modeling, evaluation, mapping, forecasting, and report development.
  • Utilize data tracking tools, workforce policy analysis, and stakeholder convening; perform energy market economic and regulatory analysis in support of the DOE Office of Policy (OP).
  • Develop analyses, support initiatives, and ensure alignment with project objectives; perform complex data aggregation, analysis, and visualization to inform energy policies and strategies.
  • Support services across renewable energy, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure technologies.
Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Skills Required

  • Analytical thinking and proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication abilities and subject matter expertise in energy and policy domains.
  • Project management methodologies and tools; leadership and interpersonal skills; time management; adaptability; attention to detail; and strong written and oral communication.
