European Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Leader

Based in Rueil Malmaison, Western Paris

Join a leading global manufacturing group as Regional EHS Leader, driving a ZERO-accident culture across our European operations. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, you’ll lead the implementation of the group's Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) strategy in line with EU-OSHA frameworks and national legislation.

You’ll collaborate closely with plant leadership and the Global VP of EHS to embed a high-performing safety culture and ensure compliance across all operations.

Expertise required includes:

  • EU-OSHA Strategic Framework 2021–2027
  • Relevant EU Directives, Standards, and Guidelines
  • National OSH strategies and legislation
  • Credentialing frameworks such as EurOSHM / EurOSHT
  • Proven experience in managing HSE in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • A methodical, autonomous mindset with attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach

This is a leadership role for someone passionate about occupational safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across diverse teams.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Regional Operations’ Director, you will be responsible for implementing the group’s HSE strategy in Europe, developing a high-performing H&S organization focused on ZERO accidents and a safety culture, and supporting business changes impacting EHS.

Working Conditions

The role is based at the European HQ in Rueil Malmaison, primarily office-based. Regular travel within Europe (about 2-3 days every few weeks, 25-30%) is required.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Support continuous improvement of Health & Safety results and safety culture
  • Implement and enhance EHS tools and practices
  • Assist site management with EHS priorities, metrics, and compliance
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and support incident investigations
  • Contribute to environmental and sustainability initiatives
Minimum Requirements
  • Higher education in Safety, Engineering, or related fields
  • 3-5 years’ experience in EH&S
  • Fluent English; other languages are a plus
  • Knowledge of EU-OSHA frameworks, directives, standards, and credentialing (EurOSHM/EurOSHT)
  • Autonomous, rigorous, and proactive with strong communication and problem-solving skills
