We are now looking for enthusiastic folks who are ready to innovate and make a positive impact. We are seeking an engaged and passionate Team Leader to lead the Auth & Internal API Team. This team manages login (SSO, SAML, MFA), authorization (roles, permissions), and other platform services, placing you at the heart of our product. This position is remote but Paris-based.

As a Team Lead, your scope includes designing, developing, deploying, and operating critical features that add customer value on top of security, maintaining operational excellence, and re-architecting our current system for better reliability, efficiency, and quality. Your team will design, develop, and operate a critical real-time, event-driven system on a cloud scalable architecture, based on serverless architecture (AWS, TypeScript), REST & GraphQL APIs. Best practices, evangelization, and mentoring within your team and across Engineering will be part of your daily responsibilities. Quality, excellence, and agility drive our delivery processes, and you will help us elevate these through data-driven metrics, alarms, and proper observability.

Your mission @ Aircall:

1. Together with PM, Architecture & Staff Engineers, drive the design and iterative execution of the roadmap.
2. Work with PM & Engineering leadership on cost/value estimation to prioritize and sequence roadmap tasks.
3. Promote a DevOps mindset, ensuring teams architect and build towards quality, continuous iteration, experimentation, efficiency, operational excellence, and rapid deployment to production.
4. Ensure agile ceremonies are followed, involving relevant stakeholders, especially from other Engineering areas and Product Management.
5. Mentor engineers in both technical and non-technical growth, setting goals and monitoring performance.
6. Ensure timely code/design/architecture/knowledge sharing reviews and adherence to best practices and standards.
7. Coordinate with Engineering Leadership (managers, Directors, CTO) for rolling out initiatives and cross-team collaborations.
8. Be active in the tech community, contribute positively to Aircall's reputation, and attract great candidates to grow the team.

A little more about you:

• Must have solid experience in TypeScript & microservices.
• 10+ years in software development, including a minimum of 3 years in similar team lead roles.
• Proven experience in building & operating real-time, cloud-based, scalable architectures (preferably AWS).
• Experience in defining system architectures and exploring technical trade-offs.
• Track record of leading, delivering, and evolving large technical projects successfully.
• Proven ability to solve difficult technical challenges and anticipate potential problems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams to drive projects to completion, balancing technical and product goals.
• Experience in mentoring, teaching, coaching, and collaborating with engineers.
• Experience in project management and end-to-end delivery within an agile, DevOps-oriented environment, using relevant tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical skills, ownership, and people management skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
