We are looking for an engineering supervisor whose main task will be to manage a team (around 10 people) responsible for designing new pumping units for the Arnage site.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure technical conformity between design and customer specifications for new equipment manufactured at the Arnage site.
• Guarantee the quality and timeliness of studies and associated documentation for internal and external customers.
• Implement standardization tools to optimize costs, quality, and deadlines (continuous improvement, standardization, etc.).
• Work closely with local and global engineering teams, including GTEC teams based in Bangalore/India and Budapest/Hungary, as well as with other Flowserve sites to collaborate on projects on a global scale.
• Ensure compliance with project design processes and technical specifications.
• Support the project team and implement design changes when necessary.
• Monitor and promote the deployment of CAD tools and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) within the team.
• Provide technical support to internal customers (purchasing, production, quality, operations, etc.).
• Establish the team's schedule and manage the department's workload and capacity.
• Interact with other supervisors and managers at the Arnage site to implement improvements.
• Monitor and promote the deployment of the Flowserve Pompes SAS Quality Management System (QMS), Flowserve Code of Conduct, site rules, safety instructions, and regulations related to export and import compliance.
• Report to the department manager.
• Define annual objectives and implement appropriate action plans.
• Train and develop team members.
• Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

Requirements:

• Mechanical and/or hydraulic engineering background.
• Preferably 5 years of experience in rotating equipment as a product engineer, project engineer, design office supervisor, or similar role.
• Good command of the technical design of rotating machines.
• Proficiency in software: Oracle, SAP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight, PLM Windchill.
• Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of standards and regulations governing the design of products related to pumping systems.
• Management experience and experience working collaboratively with departments such as Manufacturing, Methods, Quality, Purchasing, Testing, Project Management, Sales Operations, and Planning are preferred.
