Datadog is seeking an Engineering Manager for Husky, our petabyte-scale event store powering our Event Platform. You will lead a team from new grads to seniors, guiding architecture decisions, RFCs, and on-call reliability while partnering with product teams to expand platform capabilities.

The role emphasizes leadership, delivery of high-quality software, and a drive to scale our systems to an exabyte range, in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software teams and delivering high-quality products.
• Hands-on with Java or Go; distributed systems background.
• On-call duties, incident response, and post-mortems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and career development focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team through architecture reviews and RFCs.
• Oversee code reviews and ensure high-quality ships.
• Collaborate with product teams to scope platform capabilities.
• Share on-call responsibilities and drive incident remediation.
• Scale Husky from petabyte to exabyte scale.
