Semarchy, Lyon-based data management company, seeks an Engineering Manager to ensure reliable delivery aligned with product vision. You will coach engineers, hire talent, and drive execution within an Agile environment, while growing the team and maintaining strong product collaboration.

Ideal candidates bring a solid software engineering background, strong delivery focus, and fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and developing software engineers.
• Strong delivery and prioritization skills, owning commitments.
• Solid engineering background including quality, testing, CI/CD, architecture trade-offs.
• Knowledgeable in secure software development and architecture practices.
• Able to align technical decisions with product goals and business context.
• Excellent cross-team communication and teamwork (especially with Product).
• Passionate about Developer experience and DX improvement.
• Fluent in English and French.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and grow engineers (performance, career development, well-being).
• Recruit and scale the team (interviews, hiring decisions).
• Drive execution: prioritize, delegate, manage dependencies and risks.
• Ensure predictable delivery timelines and high-quality standards.
• Partner with Product Team to deliver customer value.
• Ensure agile process execution and ceremonies.
• Align with other Engineering Managers for platform consistency.
• Co-lead technical direction with Tech Leads; contribute to reviews and occasional coding.
• Promote continuous improvement (tools, practices, tech watch).
