Overview

Location: Amazon field locations across France (Douai, Bretigny sur Orge, Satolas-et-Bonce, Amiens, Augny, Senlis, Orleans, Lauwin).

The engineering teams design, deploy, maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network, from large, modern, purpose-built warehouses with robotics and high-volume conveyance to small, high-speed delivery stations located close to customers.

We provide professional growth and opportunities to solve for complex material handling equipment, with chances to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders. Interns must be comfortable interfacing with and driving multiple functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, improve, and innovate order fulfilment infrastructure throughout the large-scale supply chain network.
• Manage, design, and implement small to medium scope integrated automation projects with system elements such as high-speed sortation, multiple conveyors, package lines, and/or robotic work cells.
• Develop with global teams to support planning, installation and commissioning of new equipment, including project management of new processes.
• Support within the EU Controls network on projects to enhance the capability to monitor MHE metrics and provide visualization and data to internal customers.
• Work on a program to train technicians in the basics of control systems fault finding to raise knowledge levels within the site.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently in your penultimate year and pursuing a university bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial, or Software), or a STEM subject.
• Proficient in spoken and written English (CEFR C1) and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
• Available for a full-time internship (40 hours/week) lasting 3-6 months with a start date between January and July.
• Analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).
• Understanding of ISO 13849 & 62061.
• Experience details are not required but are a plus if relevant.
