1. The Challenge!

At GTT, Vehicles Engineering, Tenders & Governmental Vehicles, you will contribute to the development of various specific vehicles for French and other international customers. This includes working on the complete product, from chassis to cab, handling electronic architectures both old and new. The scope is wide!

Due to team expansion, we are looking for an experienced (Specialist) Wiring Harness 2D engineer to reinforce our Electrical and Electronics group.

2. What will you do?

As part of the Electrical and Electronics team, you will:

• Develop and implement complex electrical wiring harness solutions, including 2D drawings and schematics, and potentially 3D harness design.
• Create, update, and manage technical documentation.
• Ensure design correctness and completeness for wiring harness releases according to Volvo standards.
• Secure and analyze input data; ensure timely releases.
• Collaborate with wiring engineers and the core team, potentially leading wiring activities.
• Coordinate with plants, buyers, and suppliers to optimize quality, cost, and features.
• Support current and new production design projects.
• Analyze and resolve harness-related issues.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Tools used include CATIA V5 EHI and Kola. Occasional travel to customers and Volvo facilities in France may be required.

3. Who you are?

• Electrical/Mechanical Engineering degree or technical background with at least 8 years of experience in a similar environment.
• Strong experience in automotive 2D electrical wiring and harness design.
• Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).
• Technical curiosity, good communication and collaboration skills.
• Autonomous, capable of managing multiple projects.
• French nationality.
• Experience with Saber is a plus.
