What You’ll Be Doing

The Engineer – Serialization Lead (GSP - Global Serialization Program) manages serialization system delivery for secondary packaging lines at various sites, acting as an automation engineering representative from project initiation to qualification. Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical leadership to ensure project completion, supporting major capital projects, and maintaining gate protocols.
  • Collaborating with the business support team to align with packaging site needs.
  • Developing expertise in Lilly’s global serialization solutions.
  • Supporting process improvements and technology upgrades worldwide.
  • Designing technical solutions supporting GSP technologies.
  • Participating in change management and serialization audits.
  • Leading core software solutions and sharing knowledge with global packaging engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • At least 2 years’ experience in packaging, automation, or related software
  • Knowledge of serialization, track & trace, labeling, and compliance standards
  • Experience with GMPs and system validation
  • Vendor management experience

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments
  • Knowledge of industry standards like GS1, FDA DSCSA, ERP/SAP, MES
  • Familiarity with vision hardware and Systech serialization solutions

Additional Information:

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally
  • Work may require safety gear and gowning; this is not a remote position.
