CDD
The candidate will optimize an instrumentation and a microfluidic card for encapsulating human cells in monodisperse microbeads of extracellular matrix. Within a few days, cells encapsulated in microbeads form organoids or tumoroids, which are miniature 3D cellular models of biological tissues or tumors.
Based on the microfluidic instruments previously developed in the team, you will design and assemble an encapsulation instrument incorporating functions for automatic counting and transfer of microbeads to the appropriate medium for organoid and tumoroid culture. Your mission will be to adapt the team's previous work and develop a new high-throughput cell encapsulation instrument comprising a microfluidic card, a mechanical holder, pneumatic controllers, temperature control units, optical systems, and IT tools. These technical developments will be carried out and validated in collaboration with biologist users.
- Holder of a Ph.D. or an engineering (MSc) degree with a focus on instrumentation.
- At least 2 years of professional experience with a first experience in similar functions.
- Good skills in system design in microfluidic technologies.
- Qualities: organization, rigor, dynamism, initiative, team spirit.
