We are looking for a SURF UMBILICAL SPECIALIST/ENGINEER (M/F) for one of our clients, based in Île-de-France, France, for a long-term project (1 to 3 years, potentially renewable). The Service Holder will be responsible for all dynamic and static umbilical design activities, supporting installation operations, and handling technical matters related to the project as part of the internal project team.
This includes reviewing, approving, preparing, and managing all studies and documentation from Contractors, Suppliers, and Sub-Suppliers related to the Service Holder’s field during FEED, Call For Tender, and EPCI phases. The role also involves supporting the control system, flow assurance, risers, and flowlines design specialists, and providing technical support to the SURF Technical Manager and team, coordinating with other disciplines such as SPS, FPSO, and Field Operations.
The Service Holder will ensure all flowline technical documentation and Contractor activities comply with H3SE&Q standards, taking full responsibility for FEED umbilicals engineering activities, and managing all related contractor tasks. Responsibilities also include monitoring studies concerning umbilicals, preparing technical packages for the EPCI contract, defining and maintaining technical documentation, and supervising detailed engineering reviews.
The role involves acting as the technical point of contact for contractors, ensuring technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle, supporting installation and commissioning activities, and participating in offshore campaigns as needed.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering, proficiency in English, proven expertise in umbilical design within EPCI projects, and solid knowledge of relevant standards and codes. Experience collaborating with major SURF contractors during deep-water project phases is essential.
