Sentara Health in Elizabeth City, NC seeks an Endoscopy Tech to assist with patient care in the Endoscopy Department. Responsibilities include preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies under the direction of a licensed nurse.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of related patient care experience, and a High School diploma or equivalent. BLS is required within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 2 years related experience in a healthcare setting.
• Patient care experience; substitution with military or vocational training allowed.
• BLS certification due within 3 months of hire.

Position Overview

The Endo Tech assists with patient care in the Endoscopy Department. The candidate is familiar with gastrointestinal and pulmonary diseases and assists during endoscopic procedures. Responsibilities include preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies, functioning under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.

Education

• High School Graduate or equivalent

Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire

Experience

• Required: 2 years related experience
• Required: Patient care experience; may substitute similar training from military or vocational training program
