Qualifications

Market Development Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
Work model:Hybrid #LI-hybrid

  • Define, plan, and implement the service sales strategy and business development initiatives for the EMEA region, aligned with ABB’s global direction
  • Grow order intake in areas such as automation modernization, mechanical retrofits, spare parts, on-site services, maintenance contracts, and installed base upgrades
  • Identify business opportunities, exceed budget and strategic targets
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, analyze market trends and competition to enhance service value proposition

Qualifications for the Role

  • Degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in service business development
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, modular skids, instrumentation, valves, electrical systems, automation, and digitalization
  • Experience in lubricants, paints, pulp & paper, or specialty chemicals industries
  • Strong skills in contract negotiation, framework agreements, and risk management
  • Fluent in French and English
