Role Overview

Canonical, a leading provider of open source software and operating systems, is hiring a Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions to drive partnerships and sales for embedding Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro into software and SaaS solutions. This role involves collaborating with various teams to prospect, develop, and manage relationships with ISV partners across multiple locations in the Americas and EMEA time zones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive embedded support and licensing sales with ISVs to exceed targets.
  • Lead customer and partner relationships through all sales lifecycle stages.
  • Develop understanding of and engagement with the open source ecosystem.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships aligned with Canonical's goals.
  • Collaborate with product management for platform enhancements.
  • Negotiate contracts with ISV partners and customers.
  • Shape content and messaging for ISV partners and customers.
Candidate Profile
  • Strong academic background and technical education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to establish strategic relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Passion for technology with experience in software, SaaS, Linux, open source, cloud, and containers.
  • Experience in lead generation and business development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of exceeding commitments and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to twice a year.
