Role Details

Reporting to: EMEA MS&T Packaging Supervisor

Location: Val De Reuil

Travel: 30%

What You Will Do

The EMEA MS&T Packaging Engineer is responsible for the development and qualification of tertiary packaging projects, including but not limited to NPD, quality and compliance, improvement of existing packaging, qualification of equivalent packaging materials, cost reduction, plant support, profitability enhancement, and new product development or rollouts. You will demonstrate high accountability in project documentation to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate technical solutions, including sustainable materials.
  • Define and execute the packaging development plan.
  • Analyze and validate packaging technical drawings.
  • Define and communicate project milestones.
  • Assess and communicate risks with mitigation plans.
  • Initiate safety assessments and coordinate with responsible departments.
  • Generate and validate packaging documentation for product releases.
  • Contribute to innovation by developing consumer insights and new ideas.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams on simplification and innovation projects.
  • Lead external suppliers in technical assessments and validation processes.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial preferred).
  • Experience in R&D or Engineering Packaging.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good relational, organizational skills, proactive, flexible, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to interact across all organizational levels.
