Job summary

S&P Global Ratings is seeking a senior analytical leader to steer European financial institutions research, engage with regulators and investors, and drive cross-functional excellence across analytics, methodology, and governance in the European Union region.

You will mentor analysts, shape sector narratives, and lead forward-looking risk themes using data-driven insights and AI-enabled tools for internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in credit analysis, financial research, or analytical leadership in financial services.
• Ability to translate complex financial and market developments into concise narratives for investors, regulators, and management.
• Experience coaching analytical teams and building sector expertise, credit judgment, and modern analytical capabilities.
• English: Fluent; primary language requirements also include other European languages as noted.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary analytical spokesperson for Continental European financial institutions, delivering high-profile presentations.
• Lead research on European banking trends and systemic risk; chair Analytical Oversight Credit Committee and set priorities.
• Coach and mentor analysts, strengthening sector expertise and AI-enabled analytical capabilities.
• Lead market-relevant sector analysis and translate developments into differentiated, decision-ready insights using data and AI tools.
• Represent S&P Global Ratings’ perspective with stakeholders and collaborate with Methodology teams.
