Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Valbonne is seeking a Computer Vision & Robotics AI Software Engineer to architect and implement AI-powered perception systems for robotics. You will work on end-to-end perception pipelines using camera, depth, and sensor data, targeting real-world robotic platforms and embedded deployment on NXP i.MX MPU-based systems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, Robotics, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of CNNs, ViTs, object detection, segmentation and tracking.
• Experience building CV or AI perception pipelines.
• Proficient in Python and/or C/C++.
• Linux development experience; Git fundamentals.
• Familiarity with ROS/ROS 2.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain end-to-end CV and AI perception pipelines for robotics.
• Prototype perception solutions on real robotic platforms using sensors.
• Design AI capabilities: detection, segmentation, tracking, localization, navigation.
• Evaluate state-of-the-art CV/DL models and adapt them for embedded use.
• Integrate AI models into embedded robotic software stacks.
• Optimize CV/AI workloads on NXP i.MX platforms balancing latency and power.
• Collaborate across AI, embedded software, robotics, and hardware teams.
• Document architectures, strategies, results, and performance.
