Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse, France, seeks an Embedded / Simulation Software Architect Engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced embedded software for avionics and simulators. You will bridge hardware, software and QA teams, define architectures, apply DO-178B/C standards, and promote reuse through Product Line Engineering.

Proficiency in English and French, and willingness to work in a dynamic aerospace environment are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Software Engineering or related technical field.
• Deep knowledge of Embedded Real-Time Software and DO-178B/C.
• Experience with V-cycle development and component-based approaches.
• Familiarity with Product Line Engineering and design patterns.

Responsabilités

• Act as lead technical bridge between customers and internal teams (HW, SW, QA) to translate needs into certifiable software requirements.
• Build and evaluate complex software architectures balancing performance and safety.
• Define modeling frameworks and architecture strategies to optimize software reuse across the portfolio.
• Lead certification and verification strategies in line with airworthiness rules (DO-178B/C).
• Support feasibility studies, risk assessments, and exploration of innovative technologies.
