Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Security Firmware Engineer to create and integrate Security Firmware IP for SSDs, guiding the work from concept through deployment while ensuring security, performance, and reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tests, maintain quality, and leverage AI-assisted tools to continuously improve firmware processes and team capabilities.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master/Bachelor with extensive embedded firmware experience required.
• Experience in embedded security domain an advantage.
• Strong C/C++ and Rust programming skills for firmware development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test Security firmware IP subsystems for SSD products, meeting security, performance, and quality targets.
• QA: create firmware unit and functional tests to ensure requirements are met at each lifecycle stage.
• Communicate project status and technical details to management and cross-functional teams.
• Foster teamwork and personal development within the firmware team; apply AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.
