This role is focused on developing a secure, connected Operating System for an industrial-grade Raspberry Pi platform, aimed at enabling interaction with commercial and industrial inverters and batteries as part of a greenfield IoT project.

Main Responsibilities

Core duties include customizing and hardening a Debian-based Linux image for Raspberry Pi hardware.

• Customizing and hardening a Debian-based Linux image for Raspberry Pi hardware.
• Integrating with AWS services, specifically AWS IoT Core.
• Creating scalable CI / CD pipelines for image building and automated testing.
• Advising on device integrity and OTA strategies.

Key Requirements

• Experience customizing Linux distributions (preferably Debian or Raspbian) for embedded devices.
• Strong understanding of Wireguard tunneling and network security.
• Experience configuring systemd services.
• Working knowledge of AWS services and integrating IoT Core.
• Familiarity with Raspberry Pi hardware.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of secure boot, TPM / HSM integrations, or security hardening techniques.
• Experience in energy or renewables-related IoT projects.
• Contributions to open-source embedded Linux tools.
