Verkor is seeking an Electrode Engineer to join our Process Development Department at our Dunkirk gigafactory. You will lead design and optimization of mixing, coating, pressing, and slitting processes for battery electrodes, collaborating with product engineering to improve electrode design and scale-up.

The role requires a MS in engineering and 3+ years in electrode processes, with expertise in coating systems, fluid mechanics, and sensors for roll-to-roll processes.

Qualifications

• M.S. in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Understanding of mixing, coating, pressing and slitting processes is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with battery electrode processes.
• Expert knowledge of coating systems and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with sensors for roll-to-roll processes (beta-ray, X-ray, ultrasonic, laser, vision inspection).

Responsabilités

• Lead advanced design of mixing, coating, pressing and slitting processes.
• Develop, design, and evaluate innovative processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with product engineering to optimize electrode design.
• Support improvement of problems in pilot equipment.
• Improve and increase process automation to reduce capital and operating costs.
• Test and validate state-of-the-art technologies for electrode processes.
