Description du poste

Forest River Bus, LLC has multiple Electrical Engineer II openings available in South Hutchinson, Kansas.

Job Duties: Lead the design, development and implementation of both electrical and mechanical components, assemblies, sales options and process improvements while ensuring product specifications and regulatory standards of a Type A School Bus. Develop optimal, cost-effective products and production processes in accordance with customer specifications, sound engineering principles, current technology and industry standards. Design electrical harnesses, power cables, mechanical components and assemblies by utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) tools and create detailed electrical schematics, 3D model and 2D manufacturing drawings for engineering designs. Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to other departments as requested. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw material or product needs meet technical specifications. Perform engineering change notice process for technical drawing changes and assure maximum coordination of drawings released to other departments. Complete work order and school bus specification reviews for compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. Perform necessary troubleshooting on product design or process and provide training on new or revised products and process improvements. Provide automation interface design of machines developed by engineering personnel to meet manufacturing needs. Requires 10% domestic travel to supplier locations, trainings, conferences, and customer field visits in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Technical Design Engineer, Engineer II Electrical or closely related occupation.

The required experience must include:

(i) 4 years of experience in the automotive or agriculture equipment manufacturing fields;

(ii) 4 years of experience using Autodesk Inventor or other computer-aided design (CAD) software;

(iii) 4 years of experience designing electrical schematics for automotive or agriculture equipment;

(iv) 4 years of experience with electrical safety standards and equipment-specific safety protocol, including hands-on troubleshooting; and

(v) 2 years of experience with lean manufacturing methodology or Six Sigma quality control methodology.

The above required experience may have been gained concurrently.
