For one of our clients, a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors both offshore and onshore, we are looking for Electrical Engineers to be assigned in Paris for 1 to 2 years. The ideal candidate will be required for a complex offshore project involving: engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, and commissioning of an FPSO vessel.
Responsibilities
- Development of Electrical Lists including equipment and cable schedules.
- Creation and review of Single Line Diagrams for the FPSO.
- Conducting comprehensive Electrical Studies using industry-standard tools such as ETAP (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program) and Power Tools.
- Cable Calculations using CANNECO or equivalent software.
- Design and specification of high and medium voltage (HMV) systems including transformers and UPS systems (battery-based).
- Voltage regulation systems.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for the commissioning and startup of subsea systems.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Expertise in electrical systems for offshore projects, particularly FPSO.
- Proficiency in electrical simulation analysis and design tools (e.g., ETAP, CANNECO).
- Familiarity with subsea electrical infrastructure and fabrication standards.
- Experience with large-scale offshore energy projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems for offshore facilities including HMV transformers and UPS.
