THE ROLE
THE ROLE leads the electrical and electrical digital architecture work for existing vessels, future vessels and terminal containers, incorporating new technologies.
- Comply with CMA CGM IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
- Ensure all duties align with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
- Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed periodically.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
Your mission consists in defining, implementing, and following up the electrical architecture and electrical digital architecture of existing vessels, future vessels and terminal containers with new technology.
- Establish, design and implement:
- Vessel electrical grid with new technology such as hybridisation and fuel cells;
- Interconnection between vessel grid and shore grid;
- Charging system for assets, equipment, and E-vessels;
- Digital architecture with automation and logic of the system.
- Review and assess electrical grid by performing electrical calculations;
- Manage data acquisition and data treatment via Python or other software for modelling;
- Knowledge of battery technology;
- Engage with shipyards and suppliers on electrical topics;
- Collaborate with other departments (transverse activities);
- Identify communication processes among all stakeholders and sub-suppliers involved in various projects;
- Assist suppliers to establish the complete process including the signal list and logic;
- Organize and follow up project activities (dedicated meetings, project follow-up files, planning);
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests;
- Identify and implement a risk management methodology;
- Issue periodic reporting;
- Manage minutes of meetings when required;
- Support Management in controlling costs associated with the projects.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- Electrical engineer with knowledge of vessel architecture and power grid;
- Digital architecture experience;
- Power management system knowledge;
- Logic and automation process understanding;
- Data analysis skills;
- Experience in communication processes between various software;
- Proficiency in software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.;
- Fluent in English;
- Experience in: power management systems, and project management of large and complex projects;
- Strong international and multicultural experience;
- Basic knowledge of the shipping industry;
- Good presentation, organization and communication skills (verbal, written and listening), ability to work with all levels of staff across diverse business areas.
