A global shipping company in Marseille seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical architecture for vessels. THE ROLE

THE ROLE leads the electrical and electrical digital architecture work for existing vessels, future vessels and terminal containers, incorporating new technologies.

• Comply with CMA CGM IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
• Ensure all duties align with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
• Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed periodically.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

Your mission consists in defining, implementing, and following up the electrical architecture and electrical digital architecture of existing vessels, future vessels and terminal containers with new technology.

• Establish, design and implement:
• Vessel electrical grid with new technology such as hybridisation and fuel cells;
• Interconnection between vessel grid and shore grid;
• Charging system for assets, equipment, and E-vessels;
• Digital architecture with automation and logic of the system.

• Review and assess electrical grid by performing electrical calculations;
• Manage data acquisition and data treatment via Python or other software for modelling;
• Knowledge of battery technology;
• Engage with shipyards and suppliers on electrical topics;
• Collaborate with other departments (transverse activities);
• Identify communication processes among all stakeholders and sub-suppliers involved in various projects;
• Assist suppliers to establish the complete process including the signal list and logic;
• Organize and follow up project activities (dedicated meetings, project follow-up files, planning);
• Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests;
• Identify and implement a risk management methodology;
• Issue periodic reporting;
• Manage minutes of meetings when required;
• Support Management in controlling costs associated with the projects.

• Good presentation, organization and communication skills (verbal, written and listening), ability to work with all levels of staff across diverse business areas.
