Role Summary

We are seeking an energetic Project Manager – Experiential Graphic Design (EGD) to lead complex, multi-faceted projects from initial design through fabrication and installation. In this role, you will be the driving force that bridges creative vision and technical execution. You’ll collaborate with world-class designers and skilled fabricators to turn conceptual ideas into physical reality within corporate and experiential environments. Managing multiple projects for high-profile clients, you will oversee every detail – from concept development and large-format print production to custom fabrication and on-site installation – ensuring deliverables are on-point, on time, and within scope. This is a hands-on, high-impact position for a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced creative setting and takes pride in orchestrating flawless project outcomes. (This full-time role is based in Foothill Ranch, CA, with flexibility for a hybrid work schedule.)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead end-to-end project management for experiential graphic design projects, guiding them from client briefing and concept design through production, fabrication, and final installation.
  2. Coordinate cross-functional teams – work closely with designers, engineers, print technicians, fabricators, and installers to ensure seamless execution of project plans.
  3. Develop and manage project plans including timelines, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, adjusting as needed to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  4. Serve as primary client liaison, maintaining clear and professional communication with Fortune 1000 and technology clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Oversee production and fabrication processes, reviewing design specifications and proofs, and providing technical guidance on materials, printing techniques, mounting methods, and installation logistics.
  6. Ensure quality and brand consistency, conducting thorough checks so that graphics, signage, and environmental elements meet the highest standards and align with the client’s vision.
  7. Manage project changes and problem-solve in real time – navigate tight deadlines, last-minute revisions, or unforeseen challenges with agility and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  8. Maintain project documentation and reporting, including status updates, meeting notes, and post-project evaluations to continually improve our process.

Qualifications

  1. Experience: 5+ years of project management experience in Experiential Graphic Design, Environmental Graphics, exhibition design, or a closely related field. Proven track record managing complex design/build projects for corporate or branded environments is highly preferred.
  2. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of large-format printing, graphic production, and fabrication processes (e.g. signage production, material substrates, mounting hardware, lighting, installation methods).
  3. Project Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in creating schedules, budgets, and workflow plans; adept at using project management tools and software.
  4. Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment and comfortable adjusting to changing priorities or requirements. Flexibility to meet tight deadlines and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver on client expectations.
  5. Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Confident in leading meetings, guiding creative discussions, and presenting ideas and project updates to clients and internal teams.
  6. Detail & Quality Orientation: Keen eye for detail and design fidelity. Committed to ensuring final installations accurately reflect design intent and quality standards.
  7. Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, design, marketing, or related discipline is a plus (or equivalent professional experience).
  8. Work Model: Ability to work on-site at our Foothill Ranch facility as needed. Hybrid schedule (mix of in-office and remote work) is available, so self-motivation and accountability in both settings are essential.
