About the Role:

As a Regional Technical Safety Specialist, you will support local operations to deliver safety improvements, plans, and projects. You will own specific elements of the site safety masterplan. With a focus on machinery safety, your team will continually assess and improve the technical safety of operational equipment and infrastructure by applying Essity Standards and industry best practices.

What You Will Do

1. Demonstrate an uncompromised commitment to our I Care journey, ensuring a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
2. Support sites in applying technical safety standards within your assigned region.
3. Support sites in applying loss prevention standards within your assigned region.
4. Assist the technical safety team in facilitating machinery safety and risk assessment processes.
5. Support new machinery projects to ensure safety performance levels are met.
6. Provide expertise to implement and maintain a robust Process Safety system.
7. Support technical and process safety audits, as well as organizational capability building.
8. Participate in regional technical safety networks with other sites and the Global Technical Safety group.
9. Assist in root cause analysis for incidents involving technical safety elements.

Who You Are

1. University degree in Engineering or related technical experience.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field.
3. Fluent in spoken and written English.
4. Experience in fostering a Safety Awareness culture across an organization.
5. Strong communication and organizational skills, with an understanding of matrix organizations.
6. Ability to lead cross-functional projects.
7. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
8. Excellence in execution, including prioritization, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

More About Location

The role can be based at one of Essity’s manufacturing sites in Europe.
