Position Summary: The Casino Cashier receives and exchanges cash, coins, chips, checks, credit, and other monetary notes for guests enjoying the casino. Responsibilities include handling transactions accurately and efficiently.

Hiring Requirements:

1. Two years of cash handling experience in a customer contact position within hotel banking, casino, or related industry. Shipboard experience is preferred.
2. Proven customer service skills to interact appropriately with guests in a considerate, professional, and positive manner, showing concern and listening actively.
3. Ability to communicate tactfully with guests, department heads, and shipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
4. Ability to count chips and paper currency quickly and accurately.
5. Ability to operate coin counters, chip mechanisms, 10-key adding machines, and related equipment.
6. Ability to perform basic math functions related to counting chips, cash, coins, and preparing reconciliation reports.
7. Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and familiarity with software such as Excel and Word.
8. Completion of high school diploma or basic education equivalency is preferred.
9. Recognize and possess the ability to count coins and paper currency in US dollars quickly and accurately.
