Offer Description

In the current context of territorial transitions toward more sustainable agricultural, energy, and food systems, this thesis explores the design of resilient farming systems in response to the challenges of climate change, the imperatives of the bioeconomy, and the sustainable management of natural resources. The objective is to propose solutions to support the agroecological transition of a model territory located in Northern France (Grand Beauvaisis territory), by integrating innovative design approaches to make agriculture more adaptable, sustainable, and circular.

The methodology is based on an integrated approach combining biophysical modeling of farming systems, foresight analysis, and scenario planning to redesign cropping systems and enhance their resilience to climate and environmental challenges. By analyzing current agricultural practices and identifying key levers for improvement, this study aims to develop models of farming systems capable of addressing tomorrow's environmental, economic, and social challenges.

This work contributes to a local development perspective, aiming to strengthen the resilience of rural territories while promoting the transition toward a greener and more sustainable economy.
