Job Description:

Our client, a hard rock mining operation in North Africa, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to enhance and develop business processes.

The mine is operational and profitable. However, the owners aim to further improve business processes and elevate the mine to international standards.

The COO will report to the CEO and oversee all operational aspects of the mine. The Site Director, responsible for daily mining activities, will report directly to this role.

This is a strategic position focused on overall effectiveness, efficiency, and business process improvement for the site. The ideal candidate will have experience managing mines for international or listed companies, bringing that perspective and standard to the operation.

Requirements:

• A degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or related field
• Extensive experience leading mining operations within international or listed companies
• Hard rock mining experience preferred
• Proven ability to implement new standards and processes while maintaining engagement and performance
• Fluency in English and French
• Willingness to work rotationally in North Africa
