Plow and Salt Truck Driver

A-Team Snow and Ice Control is seeking on-call Snow Plow and Salt Truck Drivers to join our team this winter, servicing customers in Detroit. Candidates for this position must be available from the beginning of November through the end of March. This is a team effort, which means you will work with other Crew Members to efficiently and safely complete each job. We emphasize high-quality service, which calls for reliability and punctuality in order for us to be successful.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom and field training.
• Learn and master a specific route of customer sites.
• Perform snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Perform work safely and without accidents or incidents.
• Utilize effective communication with the crew leader for on-job issues that may arise.
• Complete job assignments via the Nektyd app.
• Communicate to field managers via smartphone.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Professional snow plowing and/or salting experience (1+ year) required.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions required (no CDL required).
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holiday, and weekend work as needed.
• Experience operating wheel loaders, skid steers, and dozers a plus, but not required.
• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Pay is based on performance, ranging from $25-$35 / hour.
• Part-time, seasonal position.
