The Commercial Real Estate & Infrastructure Fund Management Controlling Group at AXA IM – Real Assets is seeking a Financial Controller - Corporate to join either London or Paris office. The ideal candidate is dynamic, rigorous, motivated, and experienced in real estate, debt, or finance.

The role involves managing investment structures in Europe across various asset classes and geographies, overseeing the fund lifecycle from inception to liquidation.

You will collaborate with a team of over 10 professionals, interacting with fund management, client relations, risk teams, and external parties such as banks and legal advisors.

The role requires adaptability to evolving functions and support in system, control, and process upgrades aligned with platform growth.

Discover Your Opportunity

In this role, you will be involved in daily management of debt funds, including monitoring financial performance, cash flows, investor reports, FX exposures, fund distributions, and capital calls.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Supervision and monitoring of investment vehicles and accounts
  2. Management of investment structures, cash management, tax compliance
  3. Preparation of cash forecasts, capital calls, and cash upstreams
  4. Derivatives management (rolls, CCS, collateral, hedging ratios)
  5. Compliance with fund and mandate documentation
  6. Monitoring fund performance (IRR, waterfall calculations)
  7. Reconciliation of dashboards and client requests
  8. Reconciliation of financial data (Simcorp Dimension)
  9. Review and validation of accounting and financial statements
  10. Participation in audits and service provider reviews
  11. Working on analysis, queries, and process upgrades

Your Expertise

We welcome diverse skills and experiences.

Your qualifications and experience include:

  • Business, engineering, or university education
  • At least 5 years in a financial institution, preferably asset management or private debt funds

Your skills and knowledge:

  • Strong financial, analytical, and organizational skills
  • High proficiency in English; German is a plus
  • Interest in fund legal documentation
  • Knowledge of real estate/infrastructure debt and fund operations
  • Team player, multi-tasker, rigorous, adaptable, and proactive
  • Advanced Excel/VBA skills; familiarity with Simcorp Dimension is advantageous
