The opportunity

Michelin North America, Inc. is hiring a Service Technician for Solideal Onsite Service. We offer customized services to meet the maintenance requirements of forklift fleets, ensuring safe operations and maximized uptime.

The Service Technician will provide valuable input for customer service and operational improvements, continuously enhancing their knowledge of our products and services. They will take full ownership of their role, understanding its importance to the Service Center's success.

Mechanical experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. We invest in your success as you invest in ours.

This position is for day shifts (start times may vary), with 8-hour shifts and overtime after 40 hours.

Must pass a urine drug screen, DOT physical, and background check as a condition of employment, subject to ADA and accommodation policies.

What you’ll do
  • Install material handling tires using hydraulic presses, both in-house and onsite.
  • Dismount and mount tires, servicing customer products as specified.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and keep all equipment clean.
  • Report quality issues, maintenance needs, safety concerns, and hazards immediately.
  • Physical requirements include bending, crouching, squatting, reaching, lifting up to 75 pounds (with assist for heavier weights), and standing for long periods.
What you’ll bring
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Commitment to safety and punctuality.
  • Attention to detail, initiative, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience in an industrial or mechanical environment preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of MS Office; ERP knowledge is a plus.

  • In SOS vehicles, exposed to noise and weather conditions.
  • In locations with fumes or airborne particles.
