About the role:

Reporting to the Long-Term Operations – Engineered Solutions – EMEA Project Management Portfolio leader, you will be responsible for all project cost controls activities for moderate complexity projects, a portfolio of low complexity projects, or for a subset of high complexity projects or programs scope (i.e., work package).

As an individual contributor, you will monitor and control costs within defined standards and consistent practices, working with project teams on the compilation, assessment, and documentation of project costs.

This position is hybrid and based in France (Villejust). Remote opportunities may be available at the manager's discretion.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Initiate and plan all cost controls aspects of a project, including project baselines and risk registers. Apply tools and techniques to plan work, reduce inefficiencies, and optimize overall project performance. Use cost or risk analytics to validate plans.
  2. Monitor, track, and control costs for all ES-EMEA projects.
  3. Support forecast estimation and verify the accuracy of actual costs (material, labor, manufactured costs, suppliers’ invoices, timesheets, travel expenses).
  4. Ensure costs and schedule are aligned, providing time-phased cost forecasts.
  5. Analyze internal costs to identify trends in cost forecasts.
  6. Present financial data transparently; attend project and management reviews to report on cost status, budget deviations, and root causes.
  7. Promote teamwork by maintaining and distributing project metrics to keep team members, customers, and stakeholders informed of project status.
  8. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers to support successful project execution through completion. Collaborate with other project groups on shared goals.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  2. Minimum 10 years of project cost controls experience in the nuclear industry, oil & gas, or EPC projects.
  3. Some experience in other project controls areas such as scheduling, risk management, and change control is beneficial.
  4. Knowledge of project reporting, cost control, engineering controls, and experience with systems like SAP, MSP, and Excel.
