Job Description

• Spearhead the articulation and evolution of the vision and mission, ensuring alignment with directives from the government backers.
• Formulate and oversee the implementation of a clear long-term strategy and business plans, securing Board approval.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with senior officials, partners, and key entities to achieve strategic goals.
• Provide strategic direction and oversee the performance of a key operational division.
• Develop and improve organizational structure, processes, and systems for efficiency.
• Represent the university in public forums and collaborate with the Board to enhance its profile locally and internationally.

The Successful Applicant

• A strong honours degree in a relevant discipline; an MBA is highly desirable.
• Extensive senior leadership experience, with at least 20 years in related fields and 10+ years in senior managerial roles.
• Significant experience working within a multicultural environment.
• Proven success in managing relationships with senior government/ministerial stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, finance, and performance management.
• Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
