Job Description:

Summary:

We are looking to grow our database of linguists to work on projects for our clients in the Travel & Tourism field.

The right person would have experience working on translation and proofreading projects for travel and tourism clients. Other work experience in the tourism field is desirable as well.

Key Position Responsibilities:

1. Translate and proofread various types of documents (based on subject matter expertise)
2. Ensure translated documents mirror the original source document
3. Maintain formal disciplined operational procedures across a variety of client projects
4. Track project-specific non-conformances and resolutions
5. Perform project QA steps
6. Utilize all appropriate supplemental materials (refer to client PAQ, reference materials, glossaries, etc.) ensuring consistency throughout the jobs
7. Be responsible for any errors/omissions associated with a project in which they are involved

Required Skills:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in target language (Japanese), as well as in French
2. Experience in French > Japanese translation in the Travel & Tourism field
3. Exceptional problem-solving skills
4. Satisfactory results on company tests
5. Minimum passing grade (subject to individual language) on appropriate foreign language tests, as applicable
