Offer Description

The position is within the Simulation, Navigation and Propagation (SiNaP) axis of the SAMOVAR laboratory's ISTeC team. Activities focus on antenna design and adaptation to circuits and systems, including beamforming, multi-antenna MIMO, or intelligent surface antennas (RIS). Use cases relate to healthcare, future networks, or energy, in collaboration with academic partners (Télécom Paris, ESIGELEC, Sorbonne Université) and industrial or public partners (THALES, APHP).

The successful candidate must:

  1. Conduct research on antennas (study, design, characterization) and propagation model development.
  2. Participate in teaching microwave and electronics (engineering cycle), radio systems, and optics courses (Master M1-M2, IP-Paris), and develop new courses in 5G/6G communications.
  3. Actively seek research funding (ANR, EU, BPI), develop collaborations, and engage in the Saclay ecosystem.
  4. Have good experience with RF design/simulation tools and RF instrumentation.
  5. Have experience in higher education, research (post-doc), or industry.
  6. Initial experience in research project management.
  7. Enjoy teamwork and interdisciplinarity.

Research experience with international teams and multicultural experience are highly valued.

Minimum qualifications include:

  1. Ph.D. in Antennas, Radio, Telecommunications, or related field.
  2. Teaching experience.
  3. Strong research record (publications) in relevant topics.
  4. Fluency in English and at least A2 French level.
